Perseid Stargaze at Indiana Dunes SP, Aug. 13
Indiana Dunes State Park Interpretive Services will host its 5th annual Perseid Meteor Stargaze on Saturday, Aug. 13.
Activities begin at 8:30 p.m. next to the historic beach pavilion. A display table showcasing the Perseid meteor showers and sky map handouts will be available.
By 9 p.m., the stars will begin to appear. Constellation talks will highlight the many star formations that can be viewed this time of year.
Visitors are welcome to bring a blanket or chair to view the shooting stars.
All activities are weather dependant and free after the standard gate fee of $5 for Indiana vehicles and $10 for out-of-state vehicles.
